It's a perfectly reasonable question, especially when collars are such a familiar part of everyday life for many cats. The simple answer is that removing collars while cats are boarding helps us create the safest possible environment for them. 🏡🐱
Safety Always Comes First 🛡️Cats are naturally curious creatures. Even the most laid-back cat can become an explorer when introduced to a new environment! During their stay, cats may climb onto shelves, investigate their sleeping areas, play with toys, stretch on scratching posts, or simply enjoy watching the world go by from their accommodation. 🐾
While collars are generally safe for everyday use, they can sometimes become caught on furnishings, bedding, scratching posts, toys, or other features within an enclosure.
Many cats wear breakaway collars, which are designed to release if they become snagged. However, like any product, they are not completely fail-safe. Because no collar can eliminate all risk, we choose to remove them as an additional safety precaution. ✔️
